They are GROWING!

The banana peppers.  They should be growing more, but we had some bugs, so we got some organic insecticide.  We'll see if that helps.

The tallest is about 5 inches.

The strawberry has gained more mystery flowers.  Some of the petals have blown off though, due to the recent violent storms we have been having.

In order to help the porch tomatoes grow better, we moved them from pots to five gallon pails.  We also added cages to help them grow.

They are growing quite tall!  They are already at 14 inches

The topsy-turvey ones haven't been growing as fast, but they are still growing!

Its about 10 inches, but some are kinda growing sideways.

I had a photo of the daisies, but I don't know where it went.  They are still growing...I think.

Strawberries Maybe Growing?

I noticed a small flower growing on my strawberry plant today.  Could this be a possible sign of growth?

Who knows!  I really wish my daisies would grow more though.  I'm perhaps too impatient for this who gardening thing.

The Begining

Hello and Welcome!

I've never had much of a green thumb, even though I grew up on the farm.  In fact, with as many plants that I've killed, my parents have said I am a terrible gardener!  Well, because my husband and I are planning on moving during the growing season, we wanted to have a garden, but one that would be mobile for us, so everything is in planters.  We also live in a college town, with a lot of random (and sometimes intoxicated) people walking through our yard, and a lot of squirrels and rabbits too, so hopefully this is the best route.

We had planted daisies earlier from seedlings, in about early April.  Now they are starting to grow like weeds!

We had also planted strawberry seeds, but nothing ever grew.  So instead we put in today a live plant in the hopes it keeps growing!

Now, on the to newest additions!  Banana Peppers are a favorite of the hubby, so we put four in a large planter.

Finally, there are every garden's necessity, tomatoes!  My mom always had good luck with "Best Boy" tomatoes, so we have four plants, two in planters, and two in those "Topsy Turney" planters, we'll see which (if any) grow the best!

And here's a look of everything on the front porch!

I will do my best to keep everyone informed of how the garden is growing and what I did to make it grow.  In fact, I may update later with my house plant exploits!
